While on a bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, we stopped to watch a group of surfers who were taking advantage of the breaking waves along the edge of Fort Mason. It seemed to me they had a death wish, considering the incredibly rocky waters and how close the waves brought them to the sea wall. When one of the guys came to shore I commented that he was far gutsier than me, to which he replied...
"Rock climbing is safe if you know what you're doing."
