With the last remnants of daylight lingering around the grounds of the Innisbrook Golf Resort, I step outside to enjoy this, my favorite time of day. There's a familiar squeal in the distance, which breaks the otherwise peaceful silence, and I am inspired to investigate its source.
Kicking off the flip flops, I enjoy the feel of lush Bermuda grass between my toes, as I walk down the fairway toward the source of the sound. There I find an enormous nest which holds more foliage than the scraggly tree which hosts it. Inside is a family of osprey, and they seem rather happy about something. Perhaps a fish was caught in the nearby pond, and it's supper time.
Whatever the reason for their calling, it was a great way to end my visit to the Innisbrook Golf Resort.
