Yes, once again the picture of the week is a lighthouse. What can I say....I obviously like lighthouses. Even better, this one comes with a bit of history. The St. Simons Lighthouse was originally built in 1810 and was later destroyed by Confederate forces during the Civil War. It was rebuilt in 1872 and has been protecting sailors from the Georgia coast ever since.
