Deej's Picture of the Week

As I'm sitting on the balcony of our stateroom watching our ship prepare to leave Ocho Rios, Jamaica, I witnessed something that was a first in seven cruises. The first sign of something amiss was the pile of luggage stacked on the dock by one of the ship's security officers. Then came the passengers off the ship, waving their arms in protest, and flashing hand signals to the officers watching from the bridge. Our ropes were untied, the gangway pulled into the ship, and with a sound of our horn away we sailed. By this time, my friend led all those watching from balconies in a rendition of "Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, heeeyy heyy heyy...Good Bye." It wasn't until the pier was nearly out of sight, that I saw the group begin the long walk down the dock to their expensive journey home.

I never got the full story on what led to their being thrown off the ship, although I can certainly formulate my own theories. Let this be a lesson kids...Do bad things on a cruise ship, and they'll leave you sitting on the dock.
